PROJECT WANNA PLAY?
Τίτλος: "Ο Παπαλάνγκι"
Το εργαστήρι μας θα κινηθεί γύρω από
το βιβλίο "Ο Παπαλάνγκι". Πρόκειται για τους λόγους ενός
φύλαρχου σε ένα νησάκι του Ειρηνικού που έπειτα από το ταξίδι του στην Ευρώπη
μεταφέρει στους ιθαγενείς πως είδε τον Παπαλάνγκι(= λευκό) να ζει. Στους λόγους
του εξηγεί ότι ενώ ο λευκός έχει πολλά πράγματα, είναι φτωχός στο πνεύμα, ότι
ενώ υπολογίζει το χρόνο ποτέ δεν έχει αρκετό, ότι ενώ μιλάει για το Θεό και την Αγάπη, λατρεύει μόνο το χρήμα, και ακόμα για
το ότι σκέφτεται τόσο πολύ που του έχει γίνει αρρώστια.
Στο εργαστήρι θα χωριστούμε σε δυο
ομάδες και θα χρησιμοποιήσουμε αυτά τα αποσπάσματα από το βιβλίο που είναι
σχετικά με το πώς ζει ο Παπαλάνγκι και αυτά που σχετίζονται με τη ζωή των
«αγρίων» κατοίκων του νησιού.
Τα πρώτα θα τα αντιγράψουμε
πάνω σε κούτες και πάνω σε αυτές θα φτιάξουμε
εικόνες σχετικές με αυτά. Τα άλλα θα τα ξαναγράψουμε σαν μικρά ραβασάκια που θα
τα χρωματίσουμε και από αυτά θα εμπνευστούμε πολλές μικρές ζωγραφιές..
Από όλα αυτά θα προκύψει μια
περφόρμανς της καλλιτέχνιδος οπού θα
διαβάσει δυνατά τα κείμενα που
βρίσκονται πάνω στις κούτες καθώς και τα μικρά χαρτάκια με χαμηλότερη φωνή ενώ
θα δίνονται στον κόσμο μαζί με κοχύλια, πέτρες και τις μικρές ζωγραφιές των
παιδιών μέσα σε μικρά πουγκάκια που θα έχει φτιάξει η ίδια.

Our
workshop will move around the book "The Papalangki". This book is
about the speeches that the clan chief of a Pacific island gave, after his trip
in Europe. In his speeches he describes to the natives his experience
considering the way that Papalangki (= white man) lives.
He
explains that whereas the white man has many things, he is poor in the spirit
and that although he does everything on schedule he never has enough time. Whilst
he is talking about God and Love, he worships only money and he thinks so much
that it makes him sick.
The participants in the workshop will be
divided into two groups and
we will use the quotes from the book
that are about the way that the Papalangki lives and these that are associated with the "wild" life of
the inhabitants of the
island.
The quotes regarding the life of Papalangki will be
written on boxes and over them the participants will draw related images. We
will rewrite the other quotes as little love letters and we will make many
small paintings inspired by these...
All
these will be used in a performance of the artist where she will read the texts
that are on the boxes loud and the texts on the small papers with lower voice, while
she will be offering them to the audience along with shells, stones and the
small paintings of the children, into small pouches made by the artist.
Η Ιάνθη Αγγελίογλου γεννήθηκε το 1978 στην Αθήνα, όπου σήμερα ζεί και εργάζεται.
1998-2005 σπουδές ζωγραφικής στη Σχολή Καλών Τεχνών του Αριστοτελείου Πανεπιστημίου Θεσσαλονίκης
2003-2004 υποτροφία Έρασμος στη Σχολή Καλών Τεχνών San Carlos στη Βαλένθια της Ισπανίας. Παρακολούθησε μαθήματα περφόρμανς με τον B. Ferrando και γλυπτικής
Μάιος 2004 σεμινάριο περφόρμανς με τους καλλιτέχνες Μ. Gunter και R. Schill στη Βαλένθια
2009-2011, σπουδές με υποτροφία του Ιδρύματος Κρατικών Υποτροφιών στο Μεταπτυχιακό Εικαστικών Τεχνών της Ανώτατης Σχολής Καλών Τεχνών Αθήνας
